These Boots aren't made for walkin'......

Are these cool or what? I have another one of the bigger black ones, but I couldn't find it. The "moon" looking one is the one I am wearing now. It compresses my foot more so I don't have Popeye calf at the end of the day. The pink cane has pink roses all over it. It was between that one, and a leopard print one. I should've gotten the leopard print! Oh well. So, I went to the doctor today to review my CT scan that was done last week. There is some good news which is that it is healing, but the bad news is that it still is not completely healed. There is still a line between the graft bone and my own. For those of you who don't know, I also got a nerve condition called RSD /CRPS from the surgery. That just means that it feels like fire ants are biting my toes and a couple of times a day someone drops hot grease on my foot as well. Fun hu? I have been seeing a pain Doctor and getting nerve shots but they are thinking that I will have to have an electric thingy put in my back to control the nerve pain. Also, the RSD eats away at the calcium in my bones and I kynda need that to heal. There... the sad pathetic update on my foot. Dr. Williams said I will probably be in my "moon boot" for at least four more months which will almost put me to a year recovery time. And I had a hard time when they told me three months!! Who knew? I know that it will heal, it is just taking longer, ummm way longer than expected. This is not a pity party post, although I do have my moments, I just thought it would be easier to update everyone this way. Oh, one more thing, Did anyone see the Championship Basketball game between Memphis & Kansas?? I can't believe I am saying this, but oh my gosh that was the best game I have ever seen!!! Go J-Hawks!!

That is quite the boot collection you have going on there. We are praying that your foot will get better faster. I can't believe it has been that long since your surgery. Thanks for the update.

I love the pink cane! You should decorate your boots, do you have a bedazzler? Just a thought! I hope that your foot gets into turbo recovery drive! Love ya!

Whoa, fire ants and burning grease? Yikes! That is something. At least you got a choice between leopard print or pink roses, I mean that is quality health care.

I hope things go better, or at least speed up for you.
