Kite + Wind = Happy Boys!!

The boys got these kites in thier Easter baskets. They have been waiting for the wind to pick up. We do live in North Dakota, so of course the State obliged!!

We took the boys to Bud Ebert, also know as the "Big" park on base. It is perfect for just about anything. They had a blast!
Hey, Dad, a little help here...

Steady..... It looks like he is "directing" the wind.
They Live!!! Mission accomplished. I sang "Let's Go Fly A Kite" from Marry Poppins for the rest of the day. Needless to say, with that song stuck in my head, it was hard to fall asleep!!

Looks like fun! I remember doing that with Hunter at the same park. Ours got stuck in a tree though.

Glad your kite flying was a success. We haven't had very great success with kite flying. It starts out as a fun family activity, but it doesn't end that way. Ryan is aways trying to get the kite to fly and I am trying to juggle the kids, and help with the kite. Frustrating.

Yeah, our last kite outing wasn't the most successful. I think the 50 mph winds were a little too much for a successful kite fly. I have to laugh now though because it was like something out of National Lampoon's Christmas Vaction.
"Lotta sap in here. Looks good, little full, lotta sap."
Lotta wind out here today. Little strong, looks good lotta wind.

AWWW! A little nastalgic for the REAL windy city!! So fun! I loved your post about your boys, too! Very cute. Loved "Ryan's" reference to Christmas Vacation- that's one of my favorite lines!
