There was quite the production in the pumpkin carving department this year. The boys, all 3 of them, had a blast gutting their pumpkins & making their masterpieces. They were fun to watch get all grossed out by the insides & stuff. We compared the inside of a pumpkin to the Saarlak (the pit monster in Return of the Jedi).

Sawyer's finished product. He didn't gut it very well & by bedtime it had been attacked by Freddy Kruger (aka Sawyer's knife).
Tanner was so completely grossed out with the whole process, that I had to document it!!
Tanner's finished product. I don't know if you can see, but on the sides of his pumpkin he made ears. He had put ears on his pumpkins since he was 2!!
Chad made a Darth Vader pumpkin. He was very proud of it!! It even won a prize at our Ward party.

How fun! I love all the designs-- that is too funny about the ears... a pumpkin's gotta hear, right? :-D
